Whitechapel.
A lawless, godless piece of No Man’s Land. Greed, corruption, and unsolved murders make up its most basic tenets.
But for the most part, its beleaguered citizens know what to expect. They know that within city limits, only two things are certain:
One—The infamous quartet of serial killers that the media often dubs The Whitechapel Four are no mere urban legend.
Two—That once a year, for the duration of Devil’s Night, all semblance of civility completely falls away.
Anarchy rules.
The White City burns.
And that’s when the deadly Four really come out to play.

The Scalpel.
Unbeknownst to her, I’ve gained unfettered access to the darkest, most twisted depths of her psyche.
I now own all her neuroses—all my favorite, broken parts.
She may have been forced to seek treatment, but I never had any intention of helping her tame these demons.
No…we’ll embrace them. Together.

The Ghost.
I am her most faithful witness—only, watching from the shadows is no longer enough.
I ache to show her how her compulsions twist and carve and destroy me as thoroughly as any of her victims.
How the blackened organ in my chest thunders each time I spy those delicate fingers dipped in crimson.
So cruelly beautiful…as is the psychiatrist who is also haunting her steps.

The Ferryman.
They have no idea what I’ve done for them.
How I’ve sheltered them over the years.
Their identities, their work…all kept safe under my protection, and mine alone.
Soon enough they’ll see that I’m here to light the way. To guide them through the perils of the night, and to their rightful place—by my side.

The Muse.
I only ever wanted to take care of them. Why can’t they just see that?
Ungrateful. Disappointing. Useless.
Our love story could have been the greatest ever told. But it’s too late to fix it, and so we’ll just be another footnote in some long forgotten tragedy.
It’s all their fault.
They can join me down here in the darkness.

A good doctor, a faceless specter, a well-placed fixer, and a dark visionary—four killers who for years have held this lawless, godless city in their murderous thrall.

Separately. And alone.

Something has changed, and now the unholy quad’s reign of terror has escalated into a sort of depraved courtship—one that will leave the streets of Whitechapel drenched with their bloody love notes.
